It's cold and flu season in full swing!

Its cold and flu season, and Wow! hasn’t it been a good one. Help to keep your body happy and healthy during the chilly weather by harnessing the power of aromatherapy oils. With the push for the flu injection this year, flu fatalities has risen. I want to share with you some essential oils and tips on how to heal and conquer these bacteria and virus quicker and drug free.  

Lemon (citrus limon) 
Tea Tree (melaleuca alternifolia)
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
Lavender (lavandula angustifolia)
Eucalyptus (E. Radiata)

 These all directly inhibit the micro-organisms causing the infection and stimulate the immune system.

Atlas Cedar wood (cedrus atlantica)
Eucalyptus (eucalyptus radiata)

 Helps relax the bronchioles of the lungs, which can help with Asthma like conditions or coughs.

Ginger (zingiber officinale)
Sweet Fennel (boxwellia ssp)
Pine (pinus sylvestris)

 Help to promote the expulsion of phlegm, making it easier to cough up mucus.

Apply through diffusing 6-8 drops of your chosen oils into your room in  a cold steam diffuser. Place 3 drops on a tissue keep close to your skin to let the warmth of your body release the aromas and healing properties.  Use in a bath, dissolve 3 - 6 drops into a dispersant such as body wash or carrier oil. Create a stream inhalation, by placing 3 - 6 drops into a small bowl with hot water to produce steam. Place a towel over your head creating a tent to breath in the steam. Make sure you protect your eyes, by keeping them closed.
