Diaphragm Release

Diaphragm Release

The Diaphragm is the main muscle we use for breathing, when we breathe the diaphragm stretches enabling flexibility to the muscle for respiratory movement.

There are a range of issues that can cause this muscle to seize up stopping more oxygen from entering our lungs.

  • Stress management

  • Poor posture

  • Injury

  • Excessive coughing

  • Musculoskeletal problems

  • Extreme activities

These can lead to backaches, digestive issues and headaches or feeling tired. Releasing the diaphragm can feel a bit intrusive to some clients and that’s perfectly normal. A diaphragm release is done slowly with the clients communication on the levels of pressure and comfort, the massage can be stopped at anytime.

Once the diaphragm is released it can start to move more harmoniously with the respiratory system recovering the maximum lung capacity. Healthier breathing can help to relax our nervous systems, improve our sleep, reduce our bodies level of stress, become more alert and concentrate, feel taller with improved posture and improved digestion.
